OPAL - Outdoor Play and Learning
We are proud to be an OPAL school. We started our OPAL journey in September 2023.
OPAL is a highly acclaimed school improvement program supported by mentors. It addresses all the essential areas for schools to strategically and sustainably enhance the quality of their play opportunities. OPAL stands out as the only program in its category that has been independently proven to sustainably improve play quality in British primary schools.

DILS Play Charter We have the right to enjoy games and feel safe at playtime. We have the responsibility to make sure everyone enjoys and feels safe at playtime:
- We ask teachers to help with problems
- If someone looks sad, we ask them to join in
- We listen to one another
- We have kind words, hands and feet
- We are kind to others
- We include others in our games
- We share and take care of the equipment
- We play sensibly with our friends
- We only use the ball area on our day
- We follow the rules for lining up at the end of play
- We put rubbish in the bin
